New scale at Modellgyár! Our newest models, the GySEV RaaberCity coaches have arrived in TT scale. They come in several constructions and with multiple running numbers, but all of the models are precise copies of the vehicles running on tracks.

The models come in two versions: a 2. class coach and a 1.-2. class coach. The 2. class coach is available with two, the mixed coach with one running number.

Story of the GySEV RaaberCity cars:

GySEV Zrt. bought 26 used 2. class coaches from ÖBB in June of 2016. The Dunakeszi Járműjavító and GySEV renovated the coaches themselves, assigning 21-90, and 31-90 serial numbers to them, while also equipping them with a unique paintwork resembling GySEV’s original green-yellow paint scheme. The cars, bearing 11 cabins and 66 seats each, equipped with air conditioning and holding tanks for toilets, had all of their seats refurbished. The passengers’ comfort is also guaranteed by adjustable head rests and built-in reading lamps. In the ABmz coaches 5 of the cabins were made first class, by applying leather covers to the seats and head rests, replacing the luggage holders with glass shelves, and equipping the cabins with curtains and a carpet. Free WiFi service, electrical outlets, on-board passenger information systems and electronic point display signs are all in favor of the passengers’ comfort, which is marked by a unique name: RaaberCity.

The vehicles run on both the Sopron-Budapest and the Szombathely-Budapest lines.

The modification process:

The TT sized Tillig base model serving as the basis of the cars is identical to the original RaaberCity coaches. Therefore, the modification only consisted of the paintwork and the application of tampered labels.
