GySEV M62 Szergej – engines from the IV. era!

Even though MÁV is their primary user, between 1967 and 1996 GySEV also operated some M62s. Our new Szergejs are the GySEV M62 engines from the IV. era. The vehicles are available with running numbers M62-901 and M62-903. The two Szergejs don’t only differ in running numbers, but also in their paintwork: no. 901 follows MÁV’s blood orange-yellow paint scheme, while no. 903 is painted in the early claret style.

The GySEV Szergejs’ paintwork mostly followed the MÁV paint scheme, but because these trains often crossed the border to the west, the red star on the front was repainted with a “GySEV” inscription. This method was also applied  at the introduction of the blood orange paintwork.

Making of the GySEV M62:

The base of the models is a Gützold or Roco branded H0 M62 engine. The models structurally match GySEV’s vehicles, so we only realistically paint and label the models.
